LINK
Link is the main character and protagonist of the The Legend of Zelda series. He has appeared across many incarnations throughout the series, usually depicted as an ordinary boy or young man who becomes a legendary hero by saving the world through feats of courage. He is often the holder of the Triforce of Courage, a sign of his being chosen by the Golden Goddesses. Link is typically seen wielding a sword and shield, most often the Master Sword and Hylian Shield. Specific incarnations of Link may be distinguished by titles such as the Hero of Time in Ocarina of Time and the Hero of Winds in The Wind Waker. All incarnations of Link possess the spirit of the hero and are thereby destined to fight evil.
DARUK
Courageous at heart, Daruk is extremely dedicated to defeating the Calamity Ganon and protecting his people. In battle, he is loud and ferocious - although he does have a calm side to him as well during peaceful moments, such as telling the malevolent creature to "open wide" as he fired his Divine Beast's laser at Hyrule Castle. In life, Daruk was a fast friend to Link and it was the latter's strength and appetite that he demonstrated that won him over as the Goron Champion himself also had those traits.

Daruk was the Goron Champion, one of the appointed members tasked with piloting a Divine Beast in the fight against Calamity Ganon 100 years ago. He was the pilot of the Divine Beast Vah Rudania. He was described as being generally calm, but becomes wildly excitable in battle. He possessed the ability known as Daruk's Protection, a red crystal polyhedric barrier that can deflect any attack or incoming damage to the user.
MIPHA
Although usually demure and introverted, Mipha can be courageous when needed and does whatever she can to assist Link and her allies in any way she can, especially in their battle to stop the Calamity Ganon's return.

Mipha is known to be extremely kind, treating both her people and strangers with equal kindness. Her cutscene in the Champions' Ballad shows that she was a nurturing elder sister to Sidon. Mipha was the Princess of the Zora, a friend of Link, and one of the Champions. She is described as being kind and soft spoken. She has a gift for healing, known as Mipha's Grace. She was the only daughter of King Dorephan and the elder sister of Sidon.
REVALI
Growing up in Rito Village, Revali took up writing a journal to document his thoughts and progress. He has been training all his life to be the top archer and has been known to have won several archery competitions he took part in, which his winning streak has become the number one topic among the Rito, as he broke all the previous records and set the highest score.

Revali continued to receive so much praise and affirmations that he is the Rito's pride everywhere he went and as much as he appreciates it, the excessive attention he's getting caused him much stress. When the elder asked him if he wanted a prize for his achievements, Revali requested for an archery training ground be constructed on Dronoc's Pass, where the elevations are just right updraft blows constantly, and an idea of a new move that could take aerial archery to a whole new level has recently come to his mind.
URBOSA
Yunobo is a shy, timid and kind Goron who has some insecurities about the person he is and was, and is almost nothing like his ancestor, Daruk, who was as brave as Gorons come. Despite his cowardice, he is a kind Goron who wants to help in anyway he can. But he can be brave when he needs to be; in fact, when Link showed up to calm Rudania, he also taught him to be a bit braver. Since then, he has become sufficiently confident in himself to open up his own mining business, called YunoboCo. Yunobo is a young Goron who lives in Goron City in the Eldin Region. He is a descendant of the Goron Champion, Daruk. Being a descendant, he is able to use Daruk's Protection to defend himself from attacks. Yunobo helps as Bludo's assistant; when the Divine Beast Vah Rudania arrives, the pair cooperate in using the Cannons stationed around Death Mountain to drive away Vah Rudania. Using Daruk's Protection, Yunobo acts as the cannonball while Bludo operates the Cannons. However, despite their repeated efforts, Vah Rudania always returns.
YUNOBO
the Old Man is a character with a white beard and is dressed in a brown cloak. Link encounters him on the Great Plateau sitting near a campfire. He speaks to Link once he picks up the Baked Apple. The Old Man guides Link, he appears again on top of Mount Hylia, where he gives Link the Warm Doublet and teaches him about the pin feature of the Sheikah Slate. After Link completes Keh Namut Shrine, the Old Man tells him about the Sheikah. After having activated the Great Plateau Tower, the Old Man offers the Paraglider allowing Link to leave the Great Plateau. The Old Man lives in the Woodcutter's House where Link can help him remember the recipe to create a Spicy Meat & Seafood Fry and be rewarded with his Warm Doublet.

The Old Man lives in the Woodcutter's House where Link can help him remember the recipe to create a Spicy Meat & Seafood Fry and be rewarded with his Warm Doublet.
GREAT DEKU TREE
The Great Deku Tree dwells with the Koroks in Korok Forest in the Great Hyrule Forest region. He sits north of the Master Sword pedestal in the Korok Forest. He is the guardian of the Master Sword and explains to Link that the blade will test him to see if he has the strength to wield it, as Link is in a weakened state after awakening from his sleep within the Shrine of Resurrection.
HESTU
He is a large sized Korok who plays the maracas. He is briefly mentioned by the first Korok discovered by Link. Hestu is looking for them, which is why the first Korok met initially thought of meeting Hestu when Link arrived. The Korok offers Link a Korok Seed and asks him to return it to Hestu when he meets him. It is later revealed these Koroks had played a prank on Hestu and had taken his Maracas and removed the Maracas' Korok Seeds which allow Hestu's Maracas to make noise.
KASS
Kass is a minstrel who travels throughout Hyrule Kingdom in search of the "Ancient Songs". He has left his family and his hometown of Rito Village to fulfill the final wish of his teacher, the Court Poet. This journey is documented in Kass's Journal, which can be found in a hut on Washa's Bluff.

As a Rito, Kass is capable of flying, an ability he presumably uses to travel across the vast expanses of Hyrule. Kass is knowledgeable of various legends told through ancient verses and knows a lot about Shrines as his teacher once accompanied Princess Zelda in surveying Shrines. As a minstrel, he is a skilled accordion player. He travels the land on a quest to play songs written by his mentor for the hero who had been defeated during the Great Calamity and practiced the songs so he might one day play them for the hero after his mentor passed away while waiting for the hero's return.
TEBA
Teba is the current Rito Warrior that protects Rito Village in Revali's place. His wife, Saki, and his son Tulin are found in Rito Village. He is Harth's childhood friend.

In comparison to Revali's arrogance and flamboyance, Teba comes across as disciplined and serious, albeit stubborn. He is not envious of Link's fighting prowess, and seems confident and secure in his own skills.

Teba, much like Revali, is a talented flyer, moving through intense wind currents with ease. Apparently he is also quite good with a bow, although his archery skills have yet to be seen.
KANELI
Unlike most of the Rito, Kaneli has a distinct owl-like appearance, he is wise and knowledgeable of Hyrulean history. He is shown to be aware that the Ancient Sheikah created the Divine Beast Vah Medoh and it can only be controlled by the Champions and their descendants.Though he is leader of the Rito, some of the younger adult Rito like Harth and Teba stubbornly chose to ignore Kaneli's warnings against approaching Vah Medoh and it is implied that he has lost respect among some of the adult Rito presumably due to his old age.
PURAH
Despite being 124 years old, Purah appears to be a young girl. In spite of the fact that Impa and Paya both have brown eyes, Purah is the only member of her family to have the Sheikahs' traditional red eye color. In contrast, she also has white hair, which she has bunned up like her sister. A pair of glasses and a mask with Lizalfos-like eyes sit on her head, the same eyes as the ones on the head of her subordinate, Robbie, who wears a pair of glasses and a mask with similar eyes. As part of her Sheikah attire, she wears a dress with three pairs of golden fastening cords, a frilled skirt, and Mary Jane shoes. Her dress is decorated with golden cording. Several pieces of clothing are worn by her, including Sheikah gauntlets and leggings. On her back, she wears a backpack-like device that appears to have a flute attached to it that she is carrying on her back.
ROBBIE
Robbie is an expert in ancient Sheikah technology, though unlike Purah his field of expertise appears to be mechanical engineering and high-tech weaponry while Purah is more focused on Sheikah Slate technology. Robbie is shown to have a lot of respect for Purah as her refers to her as Dr. Purah and even wished to have his son train under her, though was unaware of her mishap with a de-aging rune as she had kept it secret from even her own family. However he is not surprised to hear about Purah's mishap and even manages to understand the situation with Purah when Link has trouble explaining it, as Robbie implies that her having a mishap with an experiment is not surprising as he reveals she apparently hasn't changed much, implying he has witnessed or heard of previous experiments of Purah's that have gone wrong when he worked under her 100 years ago.
IMPA
Impa is the elder of Kakariko Village, the village of the Sheikah people. King Rhoam instructs Link to seek her out as part of the quest "Seek Out Impa" after he uses the Paraglider to leave the Great Plateau. She guides Link on his journey and relates some events of the Great Calamity and how Ganon was defeated ten thousands years prior using the ancient technology of the Sheikah. She is the first incarnation of Impa shown to have family relatives as she has an elder sister Purah and a granddaughter Paya.

Though her family has a strong Sheikah bloodline with both Impa and Paya having the Sheikah emblem tattooed on their forehead in accordance with Sheikah tradition of those with strong bloodlines she and Paya both have brown eyes making her the first incarnation post-Ocarina of Time to have brown eyes and the first confirmed in-game to be Sheikah despite lacking the traditional red eye color which only her elder sister Purah inherited.
RIJU
Like her ancestor, Urbosa, she is a wise, and kind leader of the Gerudo, and isn't really fazed by the "no voe in the city" law, as she has respect for Link's skills. Despite all of this, she has some insecurities about being a chief, since she is younger than any chief should be. She can be mature, but often keeps sand seal plushies around her room.

Riju is very young for a chieftain, having been thrust into her position of power prematurely after her mother, the previous chieftain, passed away unexpectedly. Her diary reveals that her full name is Makeela Riju. She has a Sand Seal pet named Patricia and a personal bodyguard named Buliara.
KING RHOAM BOSPHORAMUS HYRULE
Though shown to be a patient figure, Rhoam`s wisdom is somewhat questionable, at least when compared to his daughter. Although he meant well, Rhoam`s attempts to help Zelda awaken her powers only served to cause her further grief, straining their relationship. Aside from constantly ordering Zelda to train, he would scold her whenever she studied ancient technology, even outright telling her to not do so.

This is however, largely due to a sense of urgency (brought on by the knowledge of Ganon's return), rather than a form of unfairness. In truth, Rhoam did feel a sense of regret for treating his daughter in such a manner, as well as misunderstanding her pain from losing her mother.
KING DORPHAN
King Dorephan was the King of the Zora, and father of Princess Mipha and Prince Sidon. His eldest daughter was selected by Princess Zelda and King Rhoam Bosphoramus Hyrule to be one of the Champions to aid Princess Zelda and her appointed knight, Link in the battle against Calamity Ganon. Mipha was selected to pilot the Divine Beast Vah Ruta, however Calamity Ganon corrupted the divine beasts and Mipha was tragically killed by Waterblight Ganon. The hero Link was injured and placed within the Shrine of Resurrection to heal while Princess Zelda used her power to seal Ganon within Hyrule Castle.
PRINCE SIDON
Sidon's appearance is based on that of a Hammerhead Shark. His is crimson red in color. As a Royal Zora, he is much taller and stronger than the average Zora. He predominantly wears silver colored jewelry and adornments marking his status as a Royal Zora. The Zora emblem can be seen as part of his outfit on his rear fins which are the equivalent of dorsal fins. His weapon of choice is the Lightscale Trident which was a weapon favored by his older sister, Mipha before her death over 100 years prior. Upon awakening as the Sage of Water, his Zonai Secret Stone can be seen on his left hand in a special gauntlet.
PRINCESS ZELDA
As the holder of the Triforce of Wisdom, she is wise beyond her years and intelligent enough to rule her people. She always wishes to do what is right for others and is extremely self-sacrificing. Though not always capable of defending herself or others on her own, she does not quit and tries to aid allies when she needs their help. She is also forgiving towards former enemies even when they have harmed her in someway. She is however, extremely loyal towards the ones she cares for (such as Link) and does not tolerate them getting harmed.
